DIY Crochet Scrunchies Easy 🌷

Yo hoo 🙂 Hi fellas.

Today’s post might be slightly different from the previous one which pretty much discussed about crocheted bags.

This time I wanna talk about accessory which were blew up lately, that is scrunchie.

For those of you who have long hair or like to tie your hair in a daily basis, I’m pretty sure this accessory will be your new favourite. Because this accessory keeps your hair in place and neat without being overly too much.

I am one of those who usually use normal hair tie with no addition like pearls and so on (Simple is best), Why? first mostly because I use hijab, and plus I’m kinda clumsy kekeke ^^. It would be very upsetting for me to lose a fancy hair tie in a random day.

So, I’ll just go with the basic. That’s why when there’s this scrunchie trend, I am really excited. Are you too? 🙂

Scrunchies for gifts, kyaa^^… it is indeed such a great idea, isn’t it? I didn’t think about it before, now I’m more excited and have new plan to give it to my sibling, relative or my friends on their special day in the future. Aak.. can’t wait to do that :).

For inspiration I reccomend you to make the scrunchies color with your friend’s favorite color, it’s definetely will make them happier and seems more thoughtful at the same time. Last but not least, don’t forget to give them a special note too 🙂

Materials :

1. 1 (one) skein of polyester yarn (I use onitsuga);
2. Crochet hook size 3 – 3,5 mm;
3. Elastic hair tie;
4. Tapestry needle;
5. Scissor.

Abbreviations :

• Hdc : Half double crochet
• Ss : Slip stitch

Pattern

First, Ch 18, then Insert the hair tie between the yarns, slip stitch/ss (round shape);

Row 1 : Do half double crochet (hdc) all around, and slip stitch in the end (second stitch from the bottom);

Row 2 – as you wish : Do the same step as before, and stop the row until you think that’s enough (for me I like to make it kinda have ruffles to look like a flower).

Finishing : For the tail, use tapestry needle to sew two yarns together into one lining, and make sure there are no holes left, and cut the remaining yarn with scissor.

Done!
